MBP Publisher

Internal publishing tool of The MasterBeat Project. It uploads and schedules the label's own official visualizer videos and Shorts on the label's YouTube channels and publishes Reels and Stories on the label's Instagram accounts. MBP Publisher uses YouTube API Services.

What it does

  • Uploads finished release videos made by the label (full visualizer and YouTube Short) to the label's own YouTube channels The MasterBeat Project and The MasterBeat Horizon.
  • Sets the title, description, tags and custom thumbnail, uploads the video as private and schedules its public release time.
  • Publishes the matching Reel and Story on the label's Instagram accounts at the release time.
  • Checks before every upload that it is signed in to the correct channel or account of the label.

Who uses it

MBP Publisher is not a public service. It runs on a computer of the label and is used only by label staff, who sign in with the Google account that manages the label's channels (OAuth 2.0). It does not access channels or accounts of other people.

YouTube data it uses

  • The ID and name of the signed-in channel, to make sure a release goes to the right channel.
  • Title, description, tags, publish date and duration of the channel's own recent public uploads, to keep the wording of new releases consistent with the channel's existing style.
  • ID, privacy status and processing status of the videos the tool uploaded, to confirm the scheduled release.

This data is stored only on the label's computer, is never sold or shared with third parties and is not used for advertising. Cached YouTube data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days. Sign-in tokens are kept in the operating system's credential store. Details: Privacy Policy.

Terms of use

By using MBP Publisher you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The use of YouTube data is also covered by the Google Privacy Policy and our Privacy Policy. The tool may only be used for official releases of The MasterBeat Project and its labels.

Revoking access

Access of MBP Publisher to a Google account can be revoked at any time in the Google security settings. Removing the authorization in the tool also deletes the data it cached for that channel. Deletion requests: [email protected].
